The thing is …is people love dogs but people LOVE dalmatians so great choice for a therapy dog. Olive is beautiful.

I love this, dogs have a sway over humans, almost like a power really.. there is something about them that just beams like a star and helps you to glow too
Precious animals and make s me remember what my dad in law always said in this life we will see much and some got it much harder than us but god gives us much to help us cope
It’s great to watch this video with the handler actually holding the leash and the dog making an effort to interact with the person rather than just tolerating them. I wish it had shown the infection control procedures, sanitizing patient’s hands before and after the interaction and use of a barrier on the bed, that are standard procedure for all Pet Partners trained teams. The photographer must not have known how important they are.

Who else has to watch this for work?
Ppl will say there are infection related risks. Of course they are. And of course I don’t know how hard or feasible it would be to arrange for pet baths before they get to see actual patients. However ultimately if one weighs those risks vs the psychological benefits and relief people get it’s easy to see which of the lesser evils people chose between risk of infection and sickness of the mind.

Olive is a gorgeous Dalmatian. Reminds me of my Dalmatian I had growing up. The family called him trouble since he would bolt pass anyone who opened the door and run to jump on the beds/ bathtub. We also called him pongo at times referencing the movie 101 Dalmatians. I miss him a lot and will always be grateful for him for the way he showed us he loved us.
